The Miracles of the Qur’an
The Qur’an is more than a miracle—it’s a living miracle we interact with daily. A book that speaks to your heart, mind, and soul.

From Doubt to Curiosity
When I was researching Islam before my conversion, I didn’t give the Qur’an much thought at first. Sure, it was mentioned in almost every Islamic talk, seminar, or book I came across. I knew it was essential for every Muslim to read and understand it. But honestly, when you’re on the verge of embracing a new faith, trying to wrap your head around everything you need to learn and possibly give up — it can feel very overwhelming. There were moments when I asked myself: Is this really for me? Can I give up things that have always felt so normal in my life?
But believe me — once I watched one Islamic lecture, I immediately watched another one after. And the few books I picked up? I never wanted them to end. I was completely drawn in, almost without realizing it. I’d listen to lectures on my way to work, on the bus, at home before bed, and first thing in the morning. I basically replaced Netflix with Islamic YouTube channels. 😄
A Journey I Never Thought Possible
Taking the shahadah (accepting Islam) felt simple and beautiful. For me the biggest questions were about Namaz (5 daily prayers) and reading the Qur’an. Looking back now, there were so many things I didn’t know — but that understanding came gradually, as my journey unfolded.
When I learned that people, including children, memorize the Qur’an word for word, I was amazed. I kept hearing how important it is to learn Arabic in order to recite the Qur’an properly. And, honestly… at that time, it felt nearly impossible. I was almost in my 30s, and the idea of learning a whole new language felt intimidating. English is my second language, and even though I’d studied it since I was eight years old, I still struggled to speak and understand it fluently. So learning Arabic? That sounded way out of reach.
The Life-Changing Blessings of Reading the Qur’an
Anyway long story short. SubhanAllah, in my first five months as a new Muslim, my mother-in-law connected me with a lovely lady who teaches new reverts. I had no idea what to expect, and I was still very new to this faith. I remember praying, “Please let this teacher have patience with me, because I have no idea how I’m going to manage this.”
Alhamdulillah, she turned out to be the absolute best teacher I could have asked for. May Allah reward her immensely for her dedication, kindness, and hard work. Ameen.
I’ve been having lessons with her almost every week since I embraced Islam. She would divide our sessions into two parts: in the first half, she taught me the Arabic alphabet, and in the second half, we covered the basics of Islam — salah, wudu, ghusl, the five pillars, the six articles of faith, and so on.
Once I learned the alphabet, we moved on to reading basic words, then short surahs, and eventually I began reading directly from the Qur’an. The whole process took me around 2–3 years. And considering I only had lessons once or twice a week — with breaks during school holidays — I actually think that’s amazing.
I completed reading the entire Qur’an for the very first time on my own 😀 during Ramadan, after four years of studying. Alhamdulillah!
I wanted to share this personal journey because I know how intimidating it can feel in the beginning. But reading the Qur’an, even a few verses at a time, is truly life-changing. If you put in the effort, if you dedicate yourself to learning — whether it’s how to read Arabic or just setting a routine to read consistently — the Qur’an will bless your life in ways you can’t even imagine.
What is Considered a ‘Miracle’ in Islam?
A miracle (muʿjizah in Arabic) is something extraordinary that defies the laws of nature, granted by Allah to His prophets as a sign of truth and divine support. It’s not magic or illusion—it’s real, witnessed, and beyond human capability. Miracles serve a purpose: to prove the authenticity of the message and the messenger.
For example, Prophet Musa (Moses) splitting the sea, or Prophet Isa (Jesus) healing the blind—these were miracles meant to strengthen faith and demonstrate that their mission was divinely guided.
But what makes the Qur’an so special is that it is a living miracle—not bound to time or place. While other miracles were seen only by those present, the Qur’an is something we can still read, hear, memorize, and be transformed by every single day. It’s the eternal miracle of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, preserved in both words and impact.
The 5 Qur’anic Miracles – From My Heart to Yours
🌟 1. It’s Recited Worldwide in the Same Language
One of the first things that blew my mind when I embraced Islam was how the Qur’an is recited everywhere in Arabic—no matter where you are in the world. Whether you’re praying in Turkey, Nigeria, the UK, or Malaysia, you’ll hear the exact same verses, in the exact same language. That alone gave me chills. It connects us all, millions of people across the globe, through one divine language. Even when I didn’t understand a word at first, I felt its power and unity.
🌟 2. It’s Memorized Word for Word by Millions
My husban was able to memorized half ot the Qur’an in his teens. And than I was told that millions of people memorize the entire Qur’an, Ma’Sha’Allah. I was in awe. It’s not just a book we read—it’s one that people carry in their hearts. This miracle is what preserves it. There’s no room for tampering or error when so many people, even young children, know it by heart. The Qur’an truly lives through us, protected and unchanged for over 1,400 years. SubhanAllah, that’s Allah’s protection in action. How amazing is that?
It is certainly WE who have revealed the Reminder (Qur’an), and it is certainly We who will preserve it! Qur’an 15:9
🌟 3. The Most Read and Studied Book in Human History
No other book has been read, studied, memorized, and reflected upon like the Qur’an. And the more I read it, the more I realize—every verse has layers of meaning. I’ve read the same surah multiple times and each time, it speaks to me differently. The level of wisdom, relevance, and depth is unmatched. It’s a book that grows with you as you grow in life and faith.
🌟 4. It Holds Cure – A Gift from Allah
This one touches me deeply. The Qur’an isn’t just guidance; it’s healing. Whenever I’ve felt overwhelmed, anxious, or lost, turning to the Qur’an gave me a sense of calm nothing else could. Some verses soothe the heart, others push you toward action. It’s as if Allah knows exactly what your soul needs. I’ve experienced that healing firsthand, and I know I’m not the only one.
🌟 5. The Verses Compliment Each Other in a Way That No Human Could Have Written
This was my ‘wow moment’. My teacher told me, how verses from beginning of surahs echoed the last verses of the same surah. At first I didn’t understand what she meant by ‘verses complimenting each other’, but she showed me on few examples, which I’m going to share with you in a minute. The structure, the harmony—it’s not random. There’s no way this could be human-made. The Qur’an was revealed over 23 years, yet the consistency and flow is flawless. It left no doubt in my mind that this is truly from Allah, and nothing in this world compares to it. And it never will!
